Question by stickyfingeredurchin: Should I write a childrens or adult book?

I always thought my first book would be loosely about my experiences with manic depression.However I had an idea for a childrens ghost story and have written the first chapter.
Should I continue? Is childrens writing worthwhile?

Yes it is worthwhile, but this generation doesn't like reading =). Just a heads up.
