What are some great books to prepare for my speaking test?

I'm planning to take the CPE and other English certifying examinations.
But I'm really bad at speaking logically and conveying my opinions.
So I need books on this subject.
Please tell me some books that will teach me how to speak in English.
I'm definately looking for a book with phrases that are frequently used in interviews, debates etc.
And any advices are apreciated. Thanks in advance!

Your explanation was quite good in many ways, so you might be letting fear get in the way. Take your time to think the thing through then find a comfortable tone and moderate speed to speak. Enunciation is very important so a moderate speed will often compensate.

I've known people from places like India and Nigeria that speak English fairly well, but there are cultural accents that make some expressions unintelligible to American ears. Part of the problem is they speak so quickly that the listeners do not get to make prompt interpretation.

I know that it is an old joke that "Americans believe that any people can understand English, pro-vide-ed that they speak it slow-ly enough" (the last part is drawn out slowly and in an exaggerated form). But it is often true, speaking very slowly reflects poorly on you, but speaking very quickly (India and Nigeria example) can leave a listener missing most of a sentence because they are still trying to extract words from those with different syllables accented or short vowels made long, or some consonants and consonant combinations have unexpected extra sounds.

Again, I suspect you will do better than you think.
